His commitment to excellence and service led to the attainment of several licenses, including the Nepal Army License in June 1988, a Private Pilot License for Helicopter from the UK Civil Aviation Authority in January 1989, and a Commercial Pilot (Rotorcraft) license from FAA in November 1989. His journey continued to new heights with an Airline Transport Pilot (Rotorcraft) license from FAA in August 1999 and another significant milestone, an Airline Transport Pilot (Helicopter) license from CAA Nepal in March 2005.

In addition to an impressive array of aviation licenses, Pilot Col. (Retd.) Rana holds a Ground Instructor License with Advanced and Instrument Ratings from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), USA, obtained in August 2011.
